Founder – Liew Swee Seng
Experiencing impermanence, learning to let go.

Liew Swee Seng was a generous and charitable businessman before establishing the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan.
In 2008, together with Yong Poh Bee, he co-founded the Jing Xin Book Centre, inspiring many young people to read Buddhist and spiritual books, allowing them to connect to dharma, purify their minds, and embrace Buddhism.
These inspired young individuals wanted to put their beliefs into practice and benefit others. Thus, a volunteer group with a common goal was formed, and they needed a place for their spiritual practice.
Consequently, Liew Swee Seng and Yong Poh Bee established the "Jing Yuan Volunteers Team," leading the volunteers to provide care to nursing homes, orphanages, and hospitals.
"Holding the universal value of equality for all sentient beings, regardless of their background, they treat impoverished and suffering patients equally and with compassion."
Through their acts of kindness, they saw the gap in social welfare: helpless patients had nowhere to go, elderly people with illnesses were rejected by various institutions, and refugees who fell sick became tragedies in need of medical assistance. This led Liew Swee Seng and Yong Poh Bee to firmly establish the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan to shelter these helpless human beings.
In 2013, the first batch of 13 patients were settled in a double-story terrace house in Taman Mutiara Barat.
Apart from caring for terminally ill patients, major government hospitals also frequently refer stroke patients without family support to them, and they take up the responsibility of continuous care. This gave rise to the establishment of the Pandan Indah Stroke Center, providing intensive rehabilitation services such as acupuncture, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy to stroke patients with prospects of recovery, assisting them in regaining daily living abilities.
Liew Swee Seng 's greatest realization during his acts of kindness was that one must let go of all attachments. Impermanence is inevitable, and we must go with the flow, cherish the present, and seize the opportunity to do good for the benefit of all sentient beings. There is no time to wait!
Kindness must be timely, and opportunities must be created!
Only with compassionate and virtuous hearts can society become a better place.
"Being able to help others is a wonderful thing. I hope more people will join the charity work and contribute to the cause!"
