Life is a journey of constant farewells, and the purpose of these farewells is to allow life to begin anew, becoming the yearned-for self. How can we delicately discuss death with friends and family, ensuring a sense of emotional and physical security while expressing our inner thoughts and feelings, and whether we possess sufficient strength and confidence to face death?
The "It is safe now, Let's Talk about Life and Death" public talk, organized by Elite Edutainment and co-hosted by the Ai~Life Care Group, took place on Sunday, August 13th, from 2 to 4 PM, at the Kuala Lumpur Nirvana Centre. This public talk was also sponsored by the Nirvana Asia Group.
This public talk featured Dr. Lo Yao Ming from Taiwan as the main speaker. He graduated from the Department of Social Education at National Taiwan Normal University. Currently, he holds positions such as Director and Senior Supervisor at the Taiwan Mindfulness Association, Deputy Director of the Life and Death Education Promotion Association, Public Relations Commissioner of the Taiwan Hospice Care Association, and invited course instructor at the Malaysian Life Line Association.
For many years, Dr. Lo Yao Ming has been committed to conducting experiential workshops on life and death education, mindfulness and compassion, positive psychology and many other workshops in Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, and other places.
Tickets for this public talk were available in three categories: Charity Ticket: RM 30, Charity For Love Ticket: RM 100, and Charity Support Ticket: RM 200. The proceeds from the ticket sales were fully donated to the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan in Kuala Lumpur and the Kuching Life Care Society in Kuching, allowing everyone to engage in charitable activities while exploring the topic of life and death.
