Origin

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan, established on March 7, 2013, is a non-profit care center founded by a group of dedicated volunteers.

The main purpose of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan is to provide shelter and care for those who have no one to rely on and are bedridden due to long-term illnesses, including end-stage cancer patients. These patients belong to the underprivileged group living below the poverty line. They are referred to the centre by the government hospitals. After conducting home visits and investigations, volunteers assess and determine them as genuine care recipients in need of assistance.

With the compassionate belief of "Selfless dedication and Boundless love," Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan offers physical and emotional healing, providing the patients with a place of refuge where they have a home, receive medical treatment, are taken care of in their old age, and ultimately have a place to return to.

In addition to taking responsibility for each patient's medical expenses and daily needs, when a patient reaches the end of their life, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan follows the principle of respecting life and compassionate care. They accompany and serve the patients until their last moment, honoring their last wishes and conducting farewell ceremonies according to their individual beliefs, allowing them to depart life with dignity.

Initially established as an end-of-life care center in Taman Mutiara Barat, Cheras, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rumah Kasih Jing Yuan later separated critical illness patients from stroke patients and established a stroke patient care center in Pandan Indah.

Five years after its establishment in 2018, the critical illness patients were relocated to a more ideal recuperation environment in Setapak, where they remain until today.
